Funeral Prices

Please Note: We are currently unable to provide any services and therefore are unable to honour any of the prices outlined on this page but we are currently required to display service fees and product prices. Please call our Managing Director on 0431817513 for further details.

General Service Fees

Standard Transfer Fee $330 (Transfer of a deceased from place of death or other location to our mortuary during business hours on a weekday).

After Hours Transfer $550 (Transfer of a deceased from place of death or other location to our mortuary on a weekend, public holiday or after hours on a weekday).

Deceased Storage $440 (Storage of a deceased in coolroom in the days leading up to the funeral).

Mortuary Care $550 (Standard mortuary care which includes washing, dressing, facial care and encoffining of deceased).

Embalming $1540 (Usually not required) (Embalming for prolonged preservation purposes required for entombment services or repatriations).

Separate Private Viewing $440 (Private viewing for up to 1 hour in a chapel arranged by us at our discretion).

Separate Evening Service $550 (Separate service held in a Church on the evening prior the funeral).

Funeral Chapel Hire $285 (Hire of chapel suitable for a non denominational service or Hindu or Sikh funeral for up to 1 hour at Altona Memorial Park or Fawkner Memorial Park).

+ Applicable Professional Service Fee Below (This covers the cost of the in home funeral arrangement and the services to conduct the funeral which includes the provision of the required staff and a hearse for the funeral). 

Premium Dual Service $5500 (Service held in a Church or other venue followed by committal service at a cemetery or crematorium Chapel).

Basic Dual Service $4400 (Service held in a cemetery based Chapel followed by burial within the cemetery grounds).

Single Service $3300 (Service held in a Cemetery based chapel followed by cremation).

Graveside Service $2200 (Basic committal service held at a graveside).

Unattended Service $1100 (No service with direct delivery to cemetery for burial or crematorium for unattended cremation).

All transfers of deceased to or mortuary a conducted using either a wagon containing a capsule or a van

Additional Service Fees

Luxury Sedan $550 (Seats up to 4 people for transport to and from the funeral for up to 4 hours).

Stretch Limousine $660 (Seats up to 10 people for transport to and from the funeral for up to 5 hours).

Civil Celebrant $550 (Single Service) (Civil Celebrant to lead any type of non denominational single service held in a cemetery based chapel).

Civil Celebrant $660 (Dual Service) (Civil Celebrant to lead any type of non denominational service held in a cemetery based chapel followed by a committal service at the graveside).

Clergy $330 (Service Type 1) (Donation to the Priest or Minister for a religious service).

Clergy $495 (Service Type 2) (Donation to the Priest or Minister for a religious service with a separate prayer service on the evening prior the funeral).

Organist $330 (Professional organist to play the organ as required for a religious funeral).

Vocalist $330 (Professional vocalist to sing the hymns at a religious funeral).

Production of Photo Presentation $330 (Production of slideshow with up to 40 photos produced by external provider).

Screen and Projector Hire $440 (Projector and operator supplied for services in venues that don’t have slideshow presentation equipment).

Live Streaming $660 (Basic live streaming service provided for services in venues that don’t have streaming equipment).

Dove Release $220 + $33 per dove required

Funeral Products

Certified Death Certificate $57.50 each (Issued by Births, Deaths and Marriages). 

Cremation Certificate $110 (Issued by a Government Medical Officer for cremation if the death is not a Coroner’s case).

Memorial Book $165 (Any memorial that is selected from our range).

7″ Crucifix Stand $187 (Rosewood, Walnut or White 7″ Crucifix stand with either silver or gold metal crucifix).

Grave Marker $220 (1 metre white cross with engraved name plate).

Funeral Notice $220 (Basic funeral notice in any required Newspaper). 

Printed Keepsakes (Starting at $330 for 70 bookmarks).

Basic Floral Tribute $330 (Basic 80cm green and white floral tribute with budget line seasonal flowers).

Shroud $220 (Basic shroud suitable for burial or cremation if clothes are not supplied).

Cemetery/Crematorium Fees

(Cemetery fees vary significantly between different cemeteries and for different types of graves and the following prices are a basic guide for cremation, chapel hire, and for a lawn grave for plaque type memorial and burial fees at Altona Memorial Park).

Cremation Fee at Altona or Fawkner Crematorium $1260 (Including chapel hire for up to 1 hour service.

Operational Disclaimer

(As Adair Funeral Services is only a small funeral provider, we do not currently own our own mortuary facilities, therefore we have arrangements in place with the ABRAXA Group PTY LTD to provide us with mortuary facilities located at 291 Arthur Street Fairfield and we do not own our own Crematorium and therefore use the crematoriums at Altona Memorial Park or Fawkner Memorial Park which are both operated by GMCT).
